VENEZUELA: Chávez announces new airline and telecoms companies

Development: President Hugo Chávez announced on 4 July that his government would be creating a new airline and a new telecoms company. The money to set up these companies will come from the controversial US$2bn fund set up and operated by the state oil company, PDVSA.
