MEXICO-US: Bush announces his own border barriers

What began as a proposal for a temporary worker visa system during President George W Bush reelection campaign has become a 'strategy for enhancing [...] homeland security through comprehensive immigration reform', which 'begins with securing the border'. As outlined by Bush in a two-day sweep through south-western states on 28-29 November, the effort includes 'constructing physical barriers to entry'.
