TRINIDAD and TOBAGO: Latest UNC defector proposes third party

A new defection has deepened the crisis within the opposition United National Congress (UNC) and raised the prospect that a third party might appear onstage. Former finance minister Gerard Yetming, who resigned on 8 March to become an independent MP, has said that he has been engaging in conversation for some time with other groups which could rally around 'a leader of integrity, like Winston Dookeran'.
