CHILE: Contreras claims Berrí­os is still alive

Development: Following on from his sensational accusation that erstwhile dictator Augusto Pinochet made millions from cocaine trafficking, former secret-police chief Manuel Contreras said on 10 July that the chemist supposedly in charge of the drug production, Eugenio Berrí­os, thought killed by the Uruguayan military in 1992, was in fact still alive.
