VENEZUELA: Second poll shows Rosales narrowing the gap

When a poll by Penn, Schoen & Berland (PSB) released just over a week ago showed opposition candidate Manuel Rosales narrowing the gap with President Hugo Chávez , many analysts were sceptical: they recalled that the same firm had produced exit polls in 2004 which showed Chávez losing badly. When a second poll surfaced last week showing much the same, the possibility began to be considered more seriously.
