MEXICO: Calderón talks policy, López Obrador lies low

President-elect Felipe Calderón has been spelling out the headline priorities for his government, and members of his team have been spreading the message, designed mainly for consumption in the US, that public security will be at the top of the agenda. Self-styled 'legitimate' president Andrés Manuel López Obrador has lowered his profile, at the same time as the outgoing administration insists on downplaying the seriousness of his challenge to their successors.
