VENEZUELA: Chávez dresses up defeat at the UN

Venezuela's quest for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council looks certain to end in defeat. After 35 rounds of voting failed to produce a two-thirds majority for either Venezuela or Guatemala in the UN assembly, balloting was postponed until 25 October.
