REGION: Mercosur meeting ends on sour note
The foreign ministers of the five Mercosur member countries met in Brasília on 15 and 16 December to set up an agenda for the next biannual summit of Mercosur heads of state. The summit is scheduled to take place on 18 and 19 January in Rio de Janeiro. The Uruguayan foreign ministry announced that President Tabaré Vázquez will not participate.
