BRAZIL: Too late to salvage reputation of congress

A group of deputies are threatening to go to the supreme court over a recent decision taken by their peers doubling the salary paid to congressmen. The salary increase is the latest controversy caused by the current legislature, which has been tarnished by successive cases of corruption, most of which have gone unpunished.
