MERCOSUR: Astori blames Brazil for pulp-mill impasse

Uruguay's economy minister, Danilo Astori, bemoaned the fact last week that Brazil had done nothing to help resolve the dispute between Argentina and Uruguay over the construction of a pulp mill on the banks of the River Uruguay. Astori said that the roadblocks erected by Argentine protesters on the three bridges linking the two countries contravened the founding principles of Mercosur.
