Argentine unions push for double digit pay rises

Development: On 17 January, Luis Barrionuevo, the leader of Argentina's opposition trade union, Central de Trabajadores Argentinos (CTA), and husband of the opposition Federal Peronist senator Graciela Camaño, said he would ask the government for a “salary increase of 35%" in the upcoming talks with the administration of President Cristina Fernández.
