The left-wing opposition Polo Democrático Alternativo (PDA) is embroiled in
its most serious internal dispute since its formation last year which is
threatening to undermine not just its credibility before the regional elections
on 28 October but also its performance then and in the next presidential

Senator Gustavo Petro, best known for his searing attacks on President Alvaro
