ARGENTINA: Santa Cruz and Duhalde trouble Kirchners

Cristina Fernández de Kirchner returned to Argentina from her tour of Germany and Austria on 14 September to be greeted by two unwelcome developments. The first, and immediately most serious, was an eruption of unrest in the province of Santa Cruz yet again; the second, the announcement by former president and Peronist strongman, Eduardo Duhalde, of a return to politics from his self-imposed exile.
