JAMAICA : Golding names enlarged cabinet

Jamaica's new Prime Minister, Bruce Golding, swore in an 18-member cabinet, four more than his predecessor, on 14 September. Golding, who also picks up the defence, planning and development portfolios, awarded the key posts of finance and national security to Audley Shaw and Derrick Smith respectively. He also appointed a deputy prime minister, Dr Kenneth Baugh and the country's first female attorney general and justice minister, Dorothy Lightbourne.
