Jorge Castañeda, whom President Vicente Fox controversially appointed as his first foreign minister, has published a book on Fox's administration entitled "La Diferencia. Radiografí­a de un sexenio". Castañeda co-authored the book with Rubén Aguilar, Fox's official spokesman. Castañeda claimed that the purpose of the book was to explain why the Fox government took some of the decisions it did.
