Puerto Rico to be graced by presidential visit

One hundred and twelve years. That's how long Puerto Rico has been a US colony, or in the less loaded official parlance, "an unincorporated territory" of the US - a Commonwealth, or ‘estado libre asociado'. It has waited nearly half of that time for a visit by a serving US President. President Barack Obama will rectify that on 14 June, with a one-day stop off in San Juan. The last visit was made by President John Kennedy in December 1961.
