In brief: Threat to Venezuelan business

Venezuela's umbrella private-sector organisation, Fedecámaras (one of the pillars of the recent strike-cum-lockout which failed to unseat President Hugo Chávez ), predicts that 30% of local businesses could be forced to shut down as a result of the economic crisis and the aggravating effect of the exchange-control régime (see above).
