Development: On 3 August Brazil’s ambassador to Bolivia ,Marcel Biato, announced that Brazil would withhold finance for a proposed major highway in Bolivia, Villa Tunari-San Ignacio de Moxos, until the government of President Evo Morales had completed the necessary social-environmental impact studies for the project.
