CUBA: Government claims tourism picking up

The government claims that tourism revenues in the first half of 2011 were 13%, up on the same period of 2010 at US$990m. There must be some doubt about the veracity of these figures because other Caribbean tourism centres are reporting either flat numbers or falls in tourism.
