MEXICO & NAFTA: Mixed messages

On 13 September the US sent a couple of warning messages to Mexico as the new US ambassador, Earl Anthony Wayne, presented his credentials to President Felipe Calderón Hinojosa. What added point to the warnings was a statement the day before from President Barack Obama which committed the US against the idea that a Mexican government should call a truce in its war against the gangs.
