In October Repsol YPF, one of the main oil companies operating in the country, announced that a US$60m investment in further exploration of its Margarita 4sd well has paid major dividends. The gas flowed at 5.4m cubic metres a day, which makes the well significantly faster-flowing than the wells at the country’s major fields at San Alberto and Sábalo.
