HONDURAS-US: Not quite another ‘Fast and Furious’
Honduras has been brought into the spotlight by a proliferation of reports in the US media about an ATF gunrunning ‘sting’ that is being linked with both the ‘Fast and Furious’ operation that allowed guns to be lost in Mexico and its parent, Project Gunrunner. While the Honduran authorities make no secret of the fact that guns are smuggled through their territory, so far no hard evidence has emerged linking any weapons found in Honduras with Operation Castaway.
