Development: On 18 January Argentina’s secretary of transport, Juan Pablo Schiavi, and the deputy minister of economy, Axel Kicillof, met senior representatives from the five oil companies currently under official investigation for fuel price-fixing, while Planning Minister Julio de Vido announced from Venezuela that the state-owned oil giant, Petróleos de Venezuela (Pdvsa), will “enter the refining business” in Argentina.
