PERU: Changing tactics

Peru’s government is showing that it is not afraid of changing tactics quickly if it believes they can produce better results. The latest data from international organisations show that Peru is overtaking Colombia as the world’s leading cocaine producer. The government of President Ollanta Humala reacted by making changes at the highest level of counter-narcotics efforts to ensure that all authorities are on the same page and working towards achieving the same goal.
