In a second clash in the central department of Junín, the Peruvian army last week captured one of the highest-ranking leaders of the Sendero Luminoso (SL), Jaime Zúñiga Córdova ('Dalton') and two other guerrillas, after killing four of their comrades and putting to flight the remainder of their `column', estimated to have been 25 strong.
