HAITI: Back to square one

Haiti waited five months for a prime minister and when it finally got one he did not even last the amount of time it took to find him. Garry Conille resigned from his post on 25 February as a result of a series of differences with President Michel Martelly. His departure will precipitate the painstaking search for a replacement that habitually involves a power struggle between the executive and legislative branches of government - and months of political instability.
