MEXICO | Supreme Court ruling. On 21 March the supreme court voted 3:2 not to release Florence Cassez, a French citizen, from prison - but it did order a fresh investigation into her case. The supreme court justices accepted that there had been failings in the process which led to the conviction of Cassez for kidnapping, but ruled that these failings did not warrant releasing Cassez, as her legal team had demanded.
