PANAMA: Exports up 8.3% in 2011

In 2011 receipts from the export of tangible products were up by 8.3% at US$785m, according to figures from the Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Censo (INEC) which is part of the Contraloría General de Panama. These figures exclude both the activities of the Colón Freezone and the banking sector, which together account for over US$10bn of export revenues.
