Pase leaves opposition coalition. On 23 April the opposition Partido Accessibilidad Sin Exclusión (Pase) announced its exit from the opposition coalition that has controlled the directorate of the national assembly since 1 May 2011. Pase has re-aligned itself with the ruling Partido Liberación Nacional (PLN), which would allow the PLN to recover control of the directorate during the 1 May election. The PLN has 24 deputies, while Pase and its Christian allies have six – four and two respectively. Thus the PLN-Pase alliance will have 30 votes, one more than necessary to secure control of the directorate.
