Roméo Langlois, a French journalist kidnapped by the Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (Farc) on 28 April, regained his freedom this week. Sigifredo López, a former Farc hostage now held under remand while being questioned by authorities about his alleged participation in the infamous 2002 kidnapping of 12 (including him) deputies of the Valle del Cauca departmental assembly, could also be released shortly.
