MEXICO | Inflation. Consumer price inflation in June was 0.41%. This brought the annual inflation rate to 5.26%. In the 12 months to May the rate had been 4.95%. The main inflation drivers in June were telephone charges; electricity price increases; rice and apple prices. These rises were offset by falls in the price of tomatoes; eggs and cabbage. The Banco de México said that underlying inflation, which strips out fresh food prices, was up by 0.45% in June.
