HONDURAS: Falling fuel prices bring some relief

Fuel prices have fallen at the country’s 420 gasoline stations for eight consecutive weeks since 16 April, according to the Comisión Administradora del Petróleo (CAP), bringing some relief to Hondurans after fuel topped HNL100 a gallon earlier in the year. As of 1 June super gasoline fell to HNL91.71 a gallon, while regular gasoline fell to HNL85.17 a gallon. Crude oil fell to a six month low on 1 June, with the West Texas Intermediate, the reference price for Honduras, dipping to US$83/barrel.
