Subjected to a third consecutive term in opposition, the Partido Revolucionario Dominicano (PRD) is descending into a bitter internal struggle. Its presidential candidate, former president Hipólito Mejía (2000-2004) is blaming everyone but himself for the defeat he tasted at the hands of Danilo Medina and the ruling Partido de la Liberación Dominicana (PLD) on 20 May.
