POLITICS | Opposition apologises. On 13 August Samuel Doria Medina, the leader of the opposition Unidad Nacional (UN), gave a brief press conference in which he publicly apologised to the minister of rural development, Nemesia Achacollo, for recent claims that her daughter, had had a child with President Evo Morales when she was still a minor. Doria Medina made the claims on 6 August on Twitter, prompting Achacollo to announce legal action for defamation and calumny.
