President Hugo Chávez is making his presence felt once again. His presence is far from ubiquitous, as it was before he was struck down with cancer, but he is stepping up his media appearances and even making the occasional public appearance. The main thrust of his messages so far is that he feels revitalised, as if his illness has made him more certain than ever of the need to make the full transition to Socialism and at a faster pace.
