Axel Kicillof, is amassing power in Argentina faster than the government of President Cristina Fernández can create new positions for him to fill, indeed faster than his rapid ascent through the ranks of the
Kirchnerista youth movement, La Cámpora. The meteoric rise of Kicillof, the deputy economy minister, continued this week when a resolution was published in the official gazette outlining the extensive remit of the new national hydrocarbons commission, charged with regulating the oil and natural gas industry. Kicillof was confirmed as head of the commission.
