Semi-submersible discovered in Chocó. On 7 November the Colombian navy seized a semi-submersible that was under construction and had been hidden in the town of Pizarro, in the department of Chocó. An authority said in a statement that the semi-submersible is 15m long and three metres wide and was being built using a go-fast boat frame. Authorities believe that the vessel may have been able to transport 1.5 tonnes of cocaine per trip and was being built for the criminal band (Bacrim) Los Rastrojos. With this one, authorities have seized seven semi-submersibles thus far in 2012 and 80 since 1993.
