CHILE | Supreme court reverses Mapuche sentences. On 24 October the supreme court annulled a 10-year prison sentence handed down to Daniel Levinao Montoya, a Mapuche convicted of attempting to kill a police officer last November, and called for a retrial.  Levinao was one of four Mapuche currently on hunger strike in protest at what they claim was an unfair trial.
