nd anniversary of the start of the revolutionary war to overthrow the dictator Porfirio Díaz, the leftist leader Andrés Manuel López Obrador concluded the first congress of his Movimiento de Regeneración Nacional (Morena). While López Obrador has made it clear that he has absolutely no intention of seeking the overthrow of Enrique Peña Nieto, who will succeed Calderόn on 1 December, he is intent on starting a revolution to transform traditional politics in Mexico.
