Development: On 20 May the president of the national assembly, Diosdado Cabello, declared “monolithic unity” in the ruling Partido Socialista Unido de Venezuela (PSUV) and slammed the opposition for "inventing and falling for" its own conspiracy theories after the release yesterday of an audio recording said to be of a phone conversation between the Chavista TV personality, Mario Silva, and a senior Cuban intelligence official identified as Lt. Col. Aramis Palacios.
