BOLIVIA: Coca study findings to appear at last?

Soon, says the Bolivian government, European Union (EU)-funded studies on the actual demand for coca, on which it has been sitting for the past two-and-a-half years, will see the light of day. The findings of those studies, so far unseen even by their sponsors, will be complemented by five top-speed new ones commissioned and funded by the government. At stake is whether Bolivia can justify raising the ceiling on legal coca cultivation.
