POLITICS: Rousseff wins back a few points, but the 2014 race is wide open

President Dilma Rousseff recovered slightly in the latest Datafolha public opinion survey, with 35% of voting intentions for the 2014 election as of mid-August, up from 30% in late June, when her and her government’s impressive approval ratings spectacularly collapsed after Brazilians served notice on Brasília that they were no longer willing to tolerate ‘politics as usual’.
