Fernández heads back to work

“We know that being president of Argentina is not at all easy, it’s a really stressful activity and for this reason I think all Argentines must help her,” Florencio Randazzo, the interior and transport secretary, said on 12 November. President Cristina Fernández has passed her medical examination after a recent operation and is due to return to work on Monday 18 November, slightly later than originally envisaged. The president has been on medical leave since undergoing surgery on 8 October to remove a cranial hematoma. Since her departure, the political scenario in Argentina has changed significantly.
