Uruguay reaches threshold of the politically unpalatable

Development: On 6 March Uruguay’s economy & finance minister, Mario Bergara, appeared before the senate finance committee to discuss the urgent need to rein in inflation which reached a 10-year high in February and is now only just shy of double digits, a psychological barrier the government is desperate not to breach.
