Late last week, Argentina’s criminal appeals court ordered an investigation into Vice-President Amado Boudou’s role in the sale of the family-run Ciccone Calcográfico printing company. Boudou is accused of helping the company to exit bankruptcy in 2010, when he was economy minister, via a beneficial payment plan so the company could be transferred to his effective ownership. There are also suspicions that the company was then favoured with contracts from the national government without proper consultation.
