Having recently faced the threat of unrest from lesser ranking military officials [RA-14-05], Bolivia’s President Evo Morales is now facing disgruntlement from the police. Last month the national police association, Asociación Nacional de Suboficiales, Sargentos, Clases y Policías (Anssclapol), issued the ruling Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS) government with an ultimatum to address long-standing complaints regarding low salaries.
