accused his leftist rival, Marco Enríquez-Ominami, of colluding with Sebastián
Piñera, the candidate for the opposition coalition, Coalición por el Cambio, to
attack him. The outburst suggests that Frei might be feeling the strain after
being on the receiving end of constant criticism from within the Concertación
about the running of his campaign almost from the moment he won the nomination
