Semana reported on 28 October that the commander of the army, General Jaime Lasprilla had held an emergency meeting with top-ranking military officers on 10 October after the head of Cime (the military intelligence centre), General Mauricio Forero, had reported the discovery of a Cime database which held emails from peace commissioner Sergio Jaramillo and other government officials, of the International Committee of the Red Cross and staff from the embassies of Norway (one of the countries sponsoring the peace talks), Switzerland and France; as well as those of 119 local and foreign journalists covering the peace process — 500 messages in all.
