Speaking after a meeting of the executive board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on 3 June, Christine Lagarde said that despite the progress made by Argentina in the production of its inflation statistics, the country still has some way to go to comply with the IMF’s criteria. The IMF’s managing director said that Fund would give Argentina another year “to remedy the provision of inaccurate data”.
