Humala was speaking during a lengthy interview on 20 September with the state-owned TV Perú. Allegations of corruption, including money laundering and financial misconduct, have constantly shadowed the PNP, Heredia - the party president - and Humala, plunging the government’s popularity to a new nadir as it slopes into its final year.
